The more than 3,000-strong community Völs am Schlern is a journey worth the whole year long at the bottom of the impressive Schlern massif. In the 19th century wealthy citizens from Bozen arrived in Völs for their summer vacation, or to enjoy a soothing hay bath at the spa. The quaint village is nestled in the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park and also boasts some interesting historical buildings.
